Your main tasks will be:

    • Strategic Project Management: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of database architecture at the corporate level. Establish and enforce design standards and long-term strategic plans for database infrastructure.
    • Database Optimization & Innovation: Develop and implement strategies to enhance database performance, scalability, and efficiency across the organization, introducing new technologies and optimization techniques.
    • Data Backup & Recovery Strategy: Manage robust backup and recovery processes, focusing on strategic planning for data reliability and minimizing downtime in data restoration scenarios.
    • System Maintenance & Upgrades: Direct ongoing support and maintenance processes, including long-term upgrade schedules for production systems to ensure stability and performance continuity.
    • Data Security & Compliance: Lead the implementation of comprehensive data security policies, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and manage audit and security processes across database environments.
    • Data Migration & Transformation: Oversee data migration and transformation projects, planning and managing large-scale data transfers while minimizing their impact on the company’s infrastructure.
    • Process Automation: Design and implement strategies for automation in data management, deploying tools that enhance data handling efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

    We expect from you:

    • Database Experience:
      • MS SQL: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in administration and optimization.
      • MongoDB: Understanding of NoSQL principles and skills in working with MongoDB.
      • ClickHouse: Ability to work with ClickHouse for analytical database management, including setup and optimization.
      • PostgreSQL: Proficiency in PostgreSQL for ensuring high performance and scalability.
    • Core Competencies:
      • Production Database Administration: Must have experience as a Database Administrator, specifically working with production databases and high-load environments.
      • Always On Clustering: Proficient in working with Always On clusters to ensure high availability and reliability of database systems.
      • Database Migration: Experience in migrating databases from MS SQL to PostgreSQL is a plus.
    • Key Skills:
      • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess complex problems and identify effective solutions.
      • Critical Thinking: Evaluating multiple solutions to determine the best course of action.
      • Creativity: Capability to find innovative solutions to unique database challenges.
      • Organizational Skills: Proficient in managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
      • Time Management: Competence in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and project milestones.

      Nice to have:

      • Database Development Experience: Skills in developing stored procedures and database solutions are advantageous. However, the primary focus will be on administration.
