We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Customer IT Infrastructure team.


Your main tasks will be:

  • Network Design and Implementation:
    - Design and implement scalable and reliable network solutions to meet the organization's requirements.
    - Configure and install various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Network Maintenance:
    - Perform regular network monitoring to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
    - Implement routine maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and security updates.
    - Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement backup and recovery plans for network systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
    - Diagnose and resolve network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
    - Conduct root cause analysis for network problems and implement corrective actions.
    - Provide on-call support for network emergencies and outages.
  • Security:
    - Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
    - Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and implement security best practices.
  • Documentation:
    - Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and topology.
    - Keep network diagrams up to date and ensure that documentation is accessible to relevant team members.
  • Collaboration:
    - Work closely with other IT professionals, including system administrators and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of network and system components.
    - Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new products, technologies, and solutions.
  • Capacity Planning:
    - Evaluate and plan for network capacity to accommodate future growth and changes in technology.
    - Provide recommendations for hardware and software upgrades as needed
  • On-call duties:
    -Respond within 15 minutes, to assess the situation and initiate troubleshooting or resolution steps

We expect from you:

  • Knowledge and experience of Cisco network equipment (enterprise and data centre);
  • Excellent knowledge of the following protocols:
    - VXLAN EVPN (Multipod)
    - Firepower/ASA
    - BGP, OSPF;
    - VRRP, HSRP, GLBP;
    - STP protocols (MSTP, RSTP);
    - QoS (markings, queueing, policing, shaping);
    - Tunneling protocols (GRE, L2TP, DMVPN);
    - Crypto protocols;
    - TCP, UDP;
    - Stacking, LACP, vPC.
  • Deep understanding of IP routing and ethernet switching.
  • Proficiency in network process automation skills (Python, ansible).
  • Experience and knowledge in network monitoring and maintenance, cloud networking, L2 and L3 security (IP Firewalls, access lists, AAA and so on).
  • Fluent English.
