We are seeking a Head of Development for VideoServices - a team dedicated to creating innovative video services on one of the most well-known dating platforms. We specialize in 1-on-1 video calls and streaming, and we are currently looking for an analyst who shares our passion for technology and our drive for success.

Your main tasks will be:

    • Analyze and Translate Business Requirements: Work closely with stakeholders to transform business needs into actionable technical specifications that align with system capabilities and objectives.
    • Oversee and Guide Technical Implementations: Manage the end-to-end implementation of technical solutions, ensuring consistency and quality across back-end, front-end, and DevOps layers.
    • Strategic Release Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning and scheduling of releases, coordinating timelines and ensuring alignment with project goals and business priorities.
    • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build efficient communication and collaboration processes across internal teams and coordinate with external partners to maintain alignment and streamline project execution.
    • Evaluate Business Impact of Releases: Participate in post-release analysis to assess business impact, evaluate outcomes, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
    • Monitor Technical Performance and Resolve Incidents: Oversee technical metrics, proactively monitor for potential issues, and participate in incident resolution to maintain system stability and reliability.
    • Optimize Development Processes and Speed: Identify and address bottlenecks in development workflows to accelerate time-to-market (TTM) for new features and updates, driving efficiency in change delivery

    We expect from you:

    • 5+ Years of Professional Programming Experience: Strong expertise in software development, preferably using the .NET framework, with a track record of delivering quality code and system designs.
    • Proven Distributed Team Leadership: Skilled in managing and coordinating remote teams, fostering collaboration across time zones, and maintaining high productivity.
    • High-Load System Development: Experienced in designing, building, and scaling high-performance systems that handle significant user traffic and data volumes.
    • Production Issue Resolution: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production issues by analyzing technical metrics, investigating user feedback, and forming data-driven hypotheses to resolve root causes effectively.
    • Project Management: Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring each aligns with business goals and adheres to timelines and budgets.
    • Task Prioritization: Skilled in evaluating task urgency and impact to prioritize effectively, balancing immediate needs with long-term objectives.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with WebRTC and RTMP Protocols: Familiarity with real-time communication protocols for streaming and media applications.
    • DevOps Practices: Understanding DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and system observability to support efficient development workflows and system reliability.
